The Beltis Steamburton Project_

Contemporary concerns about A.I. are really concerns about autonomous intelligent systems, i.e. non-human entities that are intelligent enough to make their own decisions, but that are harmful to human interests and outside of human control.

The theme of The Beltis Steamburton Project is that, in cybernetic terms, autonomous intelligent systems are already with us, harming humans and life in general and have been outside of human control for decades, in the shape of corporations (or at least some malign corporations).

In an abstract sense, a corporation or intelligent machine have similar characteristics and behaviours and there are commonalities in the problems they bring. The remedies for them will also share commonalities.

The aims of this project are to gain understanding of these threats and develop a counter to the threats they pose, principally via creation of a 'good' autonomous intelligent system. The project is quite ambitious..😊
